The Australian Institute of Architects’ Queensland Chapter invited Tim Phillips to deliver a presentation on how architects can benefit from Industrial Design.
There are many parallels between Architecture and Industrial Design and ways in which the two disciplines can collaborate. But is the relationship between architect and industrial designer being fully explored and maximised?
Sydney based Industrial Designer, Tim Phillips, will outline ways that collaboration with an industrial designer can deliver an architect’s creative vision.
From heliostat technology, to operable roofs and doors, Tim will highlight the opportunities for architects to collaborate with industrial designers.
He will demonstrate how collaboration with an industrial designer can realise an architect’s designs beyond the limits of traditional construction methodology, drawing on local and international examples including a detailed case study on the international award-winning One Central Park.
