TILT designed and developed a high quality solar tracking parabolic heliostat for reflecting and concentrating the sun’s rays onto a target for energy storage (heliostats form the solar field as part of the solar-thermal tower system). The highly accurate design of the heliostat is engineered to meet demanding tolerance levels and to withstand harsh weather and arid environments. The solar heliostats in Australia has been designed for mass production and will support mirrored glass or alternative reflective mediums. The product design achieves economies of scale through material selections, flat-pack transport efficiency and modern on-site assembly processes.
